ORIGINS OF REIKI
Reiki was founded by Japanese man Dr Mikao Usui (Born 15th August 1865 -Died 9th March 1926)

Reiki is a hands on Spiritual Healing technique and was influenced by ancient texts of Indian and Chinese origin.

Mr Mikao taught Reiki to around 16 teachers during his lifetime. One of the more significant is Dr Chujiro Hayashi a Japanese man who then further developed Reiki and made his own changes to Reiki, apparently to simplify it. Mr Hayashi then went on to teach Mrs Hawayo Takata a native of Hawaii. Mrs Takata then went on to introduce Reiki into the the west coast of America in the 1980's, form there it spread throughout the rest of the world.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Reiki is a hands on healing technique which can work on the Physical, Emotional and Spiritual levels. A Reiki session is very relaxing and can give very profound benefits on many levels. Reiki is very simple to learn.

Initially many people learn Reiki level 1 which allows them to practice Reiki on themselves to aid their own healing and development. Others go on to learn Reiki Level 2 which allows them to work on others. Some go further on to be a Reiki Master/Teacher. The Master level allows them to practice on themselves and others as well as teaching the technique to others.

REIKI SESSIONS
The Reiki Session usually lasts for around 45 mins and is generally very relaxing and refreshing. Reiki can help reduce stress and can be an aid to healing.
